KEEPING IT SIMPLE

News Letter

Yvonne Kaye, Ph.D. CT

Welcome to my first newsletter since 1996. It is something I promised myself I would do but delayed it for a variety of reasons. Having written for New Visions Magazine for so many years, I never felt the need to continue with the newsletter but since the demise of that work, the desire to communicate my experience, strength, hope and purpose in this rather troubled world has increased. So here it is, and welcome to it. At this point I want to thank Ray Skinner of Eleventh Step Books in Westmont, New Jersey. www.eleventhstep.com.  He and his lovely wife Mae are largely responsible for my being able to access the web page at all. They are two of the most generous souls I know, with time, information and compassion. Visit their beautiful store and see for yourselves. It is on the links page of this site. Well worth a trip.

Keeping it simple is a philosophy that keeps me out of trouble. Having been addicted to 'difficult' for years, it is a blessed relief to look at that which I have control and release that which I have not. The focus of this newsletter is to encourage people to fulfill their dreams, their goals and their uniqueness. There will be quotations which mean so much to people learning, growing, changing and liking who they are. For years I have been asked 'what do you actually do?' My response then and now is that I introduce people to themselves. It is quite simple - there's that word again - I am an intuitive, often seeing what others cannot about themselves. So we talk, I tell them and voila! Recognition.

I am embarking on a new version of an old philosophy. Being an Intuitive, I am now involved in a programme called Metaphysical Mentoring. Their web page is www.metaphysicalmentoring.com  - take a look. Michael Cavallero began his work over thirty years ago, to take us beyond the physical. It is fascinating and life altering, permanently if one does the work. I have fought it for a while and now realize this is for me. The changes are phenomenal and instead of worrying about the state of the world, this is another way of looking at it and making a difference. Why don't you join me? Classes by telephone start soon.

Here is the phrase of the month! OVERCOMING IS NOT THE SAME AS GETTING OVER. This is a highly inflammable quotation as recovering persons are constantly being told to 'get over it'. There are life experiences from which people will never 'get over', but overcoming is taking life on life's terms and going forward. Example. I will never 'get over' being a child of war, but I took that experience and it formed my character with the help of a remarkable book written in the 1940s by Dr.Viktor Frankl. Man's Search for Meaning is my bible! It is a story of love, survival, and faith. Not an easy read, but miraculous.

Our world is disturbed now. No matter the viewpoint, the fact is that young men and women are sacrificing their lives. For what, I am not sure. I only know that having lived through a war, I abhor them. This does not take away the concern I have for the military who I am sure, would rather be at home with their families. Here is a website that might be of interest. www.anysoldier.com.  It is certainly non partisan and only shows the government is not doing its job. Perhaps we can help a little.

Please feel free to write any suggestions you might have for subjects for this newsletter. Be kind to yourself  - it's contagious.
